Approximately 90% of home buyers search the internet and social media to find Maui property for sale. Video attracts buyers and sellers, boosts sales and increases exposure exponentially. If you use video to sell Maui real estate your listing will reach more potential buyers. Videos are highly sought after and projections estimate that by 2017 74% of all internet traffic will include video. A video tells a story and evokes emotion and will get more inquiries. Here’s a sample of a video I helped create for a Kula Maui property we sold. I did the voice over and worked with Travis Rowan to create a different kind of real estate video:

#1 Videos are Emotive and Connect with People

Travis Rowan Living Maui Media is a excellent local videographer I’ve worked with on several occasions. He uses lighting to create a mood and has an artistic eye not all videographers have. Together we created a story about a property for sale in Kula in Keokea. The story came from the seller’s perspective and what life is like for them in this house living on Maui. Travis won an award for the video and We continue to get shares and compliments long after the property sold. When you Use video to sell your Maui property it’s effective and will bring high levels of interaction and exposure to your listing.

#2 Home Listings with Video get 403% More Inquiries than Home Listings without Video

We syndicate our videos to YouTube and share on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. From there the video gets shared across multiple platforms and increases exposure and property inquiries. Videos posted to YouTube and social media get noticed. Youtube is the top research destination for Maui property buyers. Listings with video get 403% more inquires than listings that don’t. If you are not working with an agent that uses video to market your property you should be.

#3 People like Videos and Statistics Back it up
The average user spends 48 seconds on a website. If a website has video the user spends up to 6 minutes on the site. Maui properties for sale with video get more shares and likes on social media and the internet than properties that don’t.

#4 YouTube is the most Popular Platform for Buyers and Sellers
More than 50% of protective home buyers use Youtube as for their go-to resource to shop for homes online. If you are not using video you are missing this important segment of the market. Listings with videos and community videos get the most attention and shares. Here’s a sample of another of Travis’ videos:

#5 Sell your Maui Property Faster by Using Quality Video Content

Tips for using videos the get noticed. Hire a professional videographer. It’s an investment in selling your home just like preparing your home for sale – painting, fixing, remodeling and touching up to get ready to sell. You should use a videographer that uses lighting, smooth cuts, motions and sound that creates a sense of being there.
